authorial short solo violin pieces, inspired by capriccios, but taken with humor and lightness towards violin technique
Counter capriccios do not stand against traditional ones, but create juxtaposition to them. These short pieces connect to traditional technique, but they are using mostly contemporary sounds and way of playing the instrument, such as much of battutto, ponticello, overpressure, white noises, microtonality,… They shall inspire to use the possibilities of the instrument as a whole and also bring fun and release to violin playing.
